With the season quickly approaching here is everything you need to know!
COME AND TRY DAY
We are holding a come and try day on Tuesday the 22nd March, we are urging all players to bring a friend to come and try our amazing sport.
IMPORTANT SEASON DATES
• The season starts for all grades on the 22nd, 23rd, and 24th of April (ANZAC Weekend)
• Grand Final will be played on the 9th and 10th September, so please make sure to mark it in your calendars.
BY-LAW MEETING VOTE
The SHA will be holding a meeting to discuss and vote for potential by-law changes for the 2022 season, this will be held on the 19th March at 10:30 am at the clubrooms. All registered SHA members over 18 are eligible to vote and we strongly encourage placing your vote to help us better our competition.

REGISTRATION
All players must be registered before taking the field in Round 1, you can register via this link:
https://www.hockeyvictoria.org.au/competitions-events/register-now/ following the prompts.
We will be holding two Registration Days for anyone looking for help with registering, on the 29th March & 19th April.
These nights include:
• Free BBQ for hockey families
• Opportunity to create a fee payment plan or pay fees
• Purchase any uniforms or merchandise
• Assistance with registration if required
FEES
In addition to the Hockey Victoria registration payments, we also charge fees for the club, our club fees remain unchanged from last year. Please see below.
Fee prices include:
Early Bird (paid by 30 April) Regular
Senior: $270.00 $290.00
Junior: $135.00 $175.00
U/11s $25.00 $35.00
To receive the early bird price, fees must be paid, or a payment plan organised before by 30th April.
UNIFORMS

TRAINING
Our first official training for all grades will begin on the 15th March, this year the day and times have slightly changed. Our training day has moved to Tuesday nights and training times are as follows:
• U/11s – Arrive at the pitch at 5 pm for a 5:15 pm start to 5:45 pm
• Juniors – 5:45 pm to 6:45 pm
• Seniors – 7 pm to 9 pm
REPRESENTATIVE HOCKEY – JCC & JSC
For those looking at taking the next step with their hockey and playing at a higher level, SHA is currently taking nominations for our Sunraysia representative teams for the Junior Country Championships which will be played in Melbourne on Saturday 14th & Sunday 15th May and Lightning representatives at the Junior State Championships which will be played Melbourne Sports Centres – Parkville (State Hockey Centre) & Footscray Hockey Centre on Thursday 30th June – Sunday 3rd July 2022. If you require more information or think your child would be interested but not sure if they are ready, please let me know.

WORKING WITH CHILDREN CHECK
We strongly urge all senior members over 18 within our club to apply for a working with children check, these are free of cost for volunteers and help to ensure the safety of our junior members. This is compulsory for coaches, team managers, and umpires of junior grades.
